Our last photo of the month for 2019, and we end the year as we started... with an owl photograph! This beautiful portrait of Ethel, the eagle owl, was taken by Dawn Cansfield and chosen to be our photo of the month for December 2019.
Dawn's photo will be in our coffee shop gallery this year, and will be in with a chance to win a photo day here at the Centre if chosen later this month by a professional judge.

What? Why did you pick an owl as the photo of the month and not any of those precious otter pictures? I'd much rather look at a playful cheeky otter than a boring owl. I especially like the otter in the tree.
ReplyDeleteThankfully we shared some photos of playful cheeky otters for you to look at too then :-) We chose the owl for lots of reasons, in particular the light and colours. The otters are great too hence sharing them, but we lost count of the number of otter in a tree photos we saw or were sent in.

ReplyDeleteWhat animal at the BWC do you not see a lot of photos of? Might be interesting to try and capture some photos of them :)
ReplyDeleteHi Barry, that's a good question, off the top of my head I'm not sure which are our least photographed animals. I would of said our mice and voles in the hedgerow, but last year saw a lot of people photographing them too! The nocturnal house would be the obvious answer, for obvious reasons, otherwise I guess our rats, rabbits, and grey squirrels perhaps.
